Acer Iconia Tab A700 Quad-Core HD Tablet Available for $450


Acer new Android tablet has finally reached the U.S. the new Acer Iconia Tab A700 is the company’s flagship device this summer and it is currently available for $449.99 (for 32GB variant) from the Acer website. This Acer tablet will sport a beautiful 10.1” inch touch capacitive display that features a hi-def 1920×1200 pixel display (1080p). Acer Iconia Tab A700 is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 Super 4-Plus-1 quad-core processor (similar to the Iconia Tab A510) with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz and 1 GB DDR2 of RAM. Aside from the high-speed processor, the screen resolution is definitely one of the selling point of this new Iconia Tab. In fact, the new Acer Iconia Tab A700 is the first very first Android-based tablet PC shipped in U.S. with a display resolution this high – full HD multi-touch 1080p display. The display is powered by the ultra-low power high-performance 12-core NVIDIA GeForce GPU and the device is running on Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system.


The device is geared with an excellent 1 MP High Definition front facing camera, which is perfect for voice over IP video calling. On the flip side, its rear-facing camera has a 5 MP snapper with auto focus capability as well as ability to record a video at 1080p MP4 format with 30 frames per second.


Other standard features of the tablet include, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, GLONASS, Dolby Mobile 3+ audio, an HDMI port, and various sensors.
