Facebook is a great destination for game lovers. It’s the simplest and most effective way to pass time. Playing games on Facebook are so popular that Facebook has now released a list of the most popular Facebook games and most frequently played games on the world’s most famous social networking website. It is obvious that Zynga will dominate this list considering the number of games that it has released on Facebook and the number of people playing them. But you would be surprised to know that even thought the list was dominated by Zynga, the top 2 spots were taken by other game creators.
The game that topped the list was “Gardens of Time” by Disney’s Playdom Division which gave a unique twist to the “find the hidden items” games. The game that came second was the evergreen “Sim’s Social” by Electronic Arts. It appears that EA has started making headway into online games also considering their popularity when it comes to games released on video game consoles and computer games. The rest of the list is as expected, a total domination by Zynga.
The list released by Facebook looks quite different from the charts released by AppData, which show a total domination by Zynga. But Facebook explains that they based their ratings on games that not only attracted the most active users but also on the number of recommendations received by users on the games.
Zynga attained 4 spots on the list. But other companies like Double Down Entertainment, Buffalo Studios and Wooga also managed to make a name for themselves through this list.
